Cable to allow separation of Computers, monitors, disk drives etc.

I was thinking of a cable that would be able to connect computers to their peripherals, like the monitors, disk drives and printers and allow them to be separated.

Thoughts? If there's already an addon for it, I'd love the link to it.

EDIT: Sorry, I just notices the "peripheral cables" section in the Things Not to Post. If I'd noticed that, I wouldn't have asked. Sorry again.

Yeah, I edited to say I saw that after the post. If there was a link to delete topics, I would use it.
