This is a topic for discussing future CC versions and their features! Currently the topic version is: 1.51

What We Know:

Peripheral/LAN cables and modems
Dan200 tweeted about something he was working on, and supplied this picture:

The tweet:
What I worked on today:http://i.imgur.com/Y65P0hJ.png Productivity rules

What We Predict:

Monitor Resize Event
Cloudy said it was a good idea on this thread.

Routers
Dan talked about Routers on the IRC channel
(thanks Human/Sammich Lord)

HTTP Response Headers
Cloudy has mentioned adding these. Now being worked on!
(thanks ElvishJericco and AfterLifeLochie)

Dye Turtles
Cloudy liked this idea a while ago.
(thanks PixelToast)

Arrow to the Screen Causes Monitor Touch
Dan200 said he liked it, but would be difficult to add. Cloudy, however, didn't like it…
(thanks PixelToast)

PDAs
Been begged for by the community as a handheld computer, and are being worked on. Might also be able to be glued to walls.
(thanks Cruor)

What other things do you know/predict?

We don't "know" anything, except for peripheral cables. Are you sure they actually carry LAN messages? Perhaps those cables were simply connecting the computers as peripherals. (peripheral.wrap("side").turnOn()?)

EDIT: Nvm, just read the comments on dan's pic. Yay, secure rednet!

Dan was also talking about routers in IRC. I was tired when I was listening so I don't remember details.

Well… not extremely secure…

Well of course someone could connect their computer, but it's better than what it is now.

Well someone would have to find the channel now, and when there is 2^16-1 channels that takes some time to find your channel, because they are switching, and have to be listening at just the same time as you're sending. really I think that in a way a cable is less secure, they see the cable, bang they are in, use channels, they have to scan for it. then if you use a channel switching algorithm, then thats and extra level they have to do too.

Dan was saying in IRC that the peripheral cables are going to act just like regular rednet. You could also use channels with the cables if you so which. This will also mean you will be able to use a script designed for wireless modems on a wired network.

I tend to only remember certain parts of conversations. I was totally confused when he was talking about routers though :P/>

Not too sure how Dan200 will like it though based on his dying things reaction in IRC yesterday.

arrows to the screen causing a touch event
I actually like this idea! But Cloudy is right that it would be difficult to implement for what is effectively an easter egg

IIRC, dyed turtles were currently a pain (from IRC discussion). I'm not sure what the state of them currently is - might be worth noting.
I can confirm HTTP headers from both the client to server and server to client have been pending (is that the word?) for a while now.

(I half expect to see you guys start walking around with tinfoil hats and bugging rooms.)
