My good close friend caffeine ;}
Honestly though, I have the same problem. I usually have a good 10-15 projects going at once, and will bounce around between them depending on my mood at the time.
But I find that it keeps me from getting too bored doing any one thing, as well as gives me a list of things to pick from when I do start feeling bored. Sure, it takes longer to finish any one specific project this way, but even split apart over days I can still put my all into it.
At work if and when I don't have much choice in the matter (deadline, one project is at highest priority, etc) I tend to enjoy it at first then get bored, start thinking about other projects, and pretty much just end up getting the thing working or close enough to call done.
I'm usually not happy with the results even if others are. Little things like detailed error checking and comments tend to get shorter until they disappear, and just over all isn't the best I could have done.

I kinda punch through a project in one hit usual a weekend is lost to a project . I don't have many projects on the boil I have little side projects that are to test something but not going to be released EVER (cos bad code and stuffs) . these side projects are coded in a couple of hours normal some where between 1AM and 5AM then sleep for a bit ans start again at 7AM with a loads of caffeine in energy drinks. (yes a real bad habit bit only live ounce and all.) I have a few released programs I am happy with them as they are and I won't be extending them I will fix bugs asap but haven't had many posted. I some times work on them If something new comes to CC or I think up something. MouseFB has been my longest running project each ver takes a few hours to write and normal in one hit. I don't code a project in piece over time I just bang it out then use it just my style.
but I guess you couldn't really call them large project just small and useful (some more than others) . Also I don't code in any other language so a few hours a week is all I code.

I'm the same as you and dissy. I can get distracted quite easy. So just like dissy i have several projects going at once, don't believe me take a look … so every few hours and or day I will cycle to another project. Means I don't get bored, and sometimes means i can get inspiration for other projects, for example I have implemented several things in CCTube that then when going back to other projects realise that it would work well for them too.

I like, become motivated by others in the CC community. I do whatever project gets the most support. I see what people like, then create my own version of it if I feel it would be a great idea to improve on something that has potential. Sometimes I just have to suck it up, if I don't feel like, somehow I get myself going and once that happens, I don't notice the time and I'm determined to finish it. I actually spend most of my time thinking about how to implement something to become great, and I only work on only 1 or 2 projects at that time, and throw my best at it.

I have to keep one project at a time. I get distracted and bored really easily. But my good friend RUM always helps me get back on track.

Agree with dissy and bit i dont mind much about when to finish what. A hungry Mind is easy to distract :)/>
Only thing that keeps me at a project is a problem i can not solve. Can not do sth else until i figured it out.
If things get to bad my good old friend Mary Jane always gets me back on track :)/>

I tend to start work on one project and then think of a utility that would make the current project a lot easier. I then move to the new utility and code it. this kind of distraction is fine by me as when I'm done coding the utility I go back to the original project… I've never had too much difficulty with focus

I get really distracted, and because I have no motivation, because I am too scared to publish it, I just give up.

Well there's no fun in that. We won't bite, go ahead and share your work, no one will tease you or anything.

I have the same problem. Only I have about 10 ever-unfinished projects.

Basically, how fun any given project is and how many people are relying on me :)/>

All these people getting distracted easily. Pfft.
I just do about 3 things at once, Code, Pray Game(Mostly RTS when coding, or mc), waste time looking at youtube subscriptions knowing full well that none will update for a few hours.
It's either all that, or I just procrastinate A LOT. Like a door lock would most likely take me anywhere from 10 mins to 3 weeks. ADHD is quite possibly the worst thing to have =/
Hmm, just noticed I seem to really like new lines…..

Spoiler
So I have cracked the 'Little Piggy Conspiracy':"This little piggy went to the market,
This little piggy stayed at home,
This little piggy had roast beef,
This little piggy had none,
And this little piggy went, wee wee wee wee wee, all the way home"
THERE ARE ONLY 2 PIGGIES!
The one that went to the market wasn't at home, the one that did stayed at home had roast beef, the one that was at the market had none. And the piggy that went "wee wee wee wee wee, all the way home" was the one that was at the market!!!!!!! Childhood ruined and mind blown!

At least your head voices are being helpful. I keep having arguments with mine.
I'm not crazy either… or at least that's what it keeps telling me over and over at night so I can't sleep.
