We are a small team of people attempting to do the list of things below:
Make a Internet and then add servers.email , FTP , remote control
And do it all on survival.
We are currently recruiting new members newbies and experts.!
We have 1 server both run tekkit. .this server is owned by my friend.
Our primary server is ran by Leo verto and contact him for details.
Our old server tekaholic si no longer used!
I am sorry to denounce tekaholic as our primary server! :)/>/>
it seems i am not trusted as a technician and there fore will never receive the required ftp for the project to work :D/>/> ;)/>/>
it seems deeks may no longer trust me so….
LEO VERTOS HAMaCHI IS NOW MAIN SERVER!
contact him for details

We currently only have

Survival, eh? I prefer to use Not Enough Items, but I can disable it.
I might get some friends to help us, I also had the idea of (nearly) real-time editing of documents together using the Minenet (the Minecraft Internet).
Add me on steam for fast contact.

Ok, I'm working on a server system now:
The client pings and any open servers answer, then the client can choose between servers.
Servers can provide downloads, file-hosting, being routers for long range networks and many other things.

Nice, I think we're gonna need help, I'll send you a PM where we can code, since you don't like tekkit, I'll probably have to execute the programs and report to you. :)/>/>

You should take a look at the networking stuff of this guy on youtube, he implemented quite cool thinks and I'm looking forwards to see the codes:

Leo slow down!
We need dns first!!
Without it your servers are useless!
Dns works Like this:
1 you send the web address to dns server
2 it checks it's database for and Ip associated with that name then sends ip back to client
3client then goes to that server
strideynet #13
Posted 10 April 2012 - 07:01 AM
However often it sends you routing data as there could be more then 80 stops to get somewhere.
Your ping idea is great maybe when client reccieves id from dns it then pings the web server.
Then to move page you ping it with page name.
strideynet #14
Posted 10 April 2012 - 07:39 AM
Those videos are good I like his mail technique
The master server is technically like dns
strideynet #15
Posted 10 April 2012 - 08:14 AM
Leo could you contact him and invite him to our project and how is ur server?
I feel we need to make a OS to enclose this in but really could u invite nitrogen to project
Leo Verto #16
Posted 10 April 2012 - 05:18 PM
Feel free to write nitrogenfingers a forum message. :P/>/>
Thanks to Wolvan, we already got a bit of code.

Nitrogen's idea of several servers connected to a master server is great, so the master server only has to redirect to the single servers and can stay nearly always on. The mail server for example, will have a file with all the registered computers, ID and name. It reads the data from the file into an array and then it can search the array for the name. It should save the array to file every 5 minutes or so.

I hope this helps, I'll post the code Wolvan made with me soon.

Posted 11 April 2012 - 07:10 AM
Cool
Is there a way we could add dns though for web servers.
And have you made routers

I think i have got us a server it's 24/7
I'm am admin so I'l
But its a war server so I may have to talk to him if we can anve a world or something
strideynet #18
Posted 11 April 2012 - 07:14 AM
OS is the way to go we need a OS to wrapit up and make it prettier
Maybe call it
Micro block
Leo Verto #19
Posted 11 April 2012 - 01:15 PM
Hmm, I think we could implement an OS but for the start, just the single programs should be enough.
An OS would also need an update function, so all the scripts stay up to date.
What I said was kinda DNS, the master server has a list of all other servers and the other servers have the user data.
strideynet #20
Posted 12 April 2012 - 07:03 AM
Yes all you would needs IS names
That's what DNs. Is names
What if their is 60 websites in the future on our internet you won't remember each ones I'd will you
But you will remember names!

Hey there,

Just received a few emails and learnt a bit more about this project. It looks interesting, I'd be happy to take a look at it. You'll need to whitelist me to the server. Must admit, cyber warfare is not a real strong suite of mine but yeah if I can help I'd be happy to.

I found a solution for the energy system!
MFE carts!
The carts are sent from the power station and the computer in the basement allows the cart to stay and to undload, after the user had payed and the energy server had sent the signal.
The rail systems are very simple and the coding won't be hard at all!

Hey,
Could I join you guys? I'm currently working on a "DDOS Booter". It's still in dev stage, and there are still a lot of bugs in it, but once it's finished it will be really cool.
It can use an infinite amount of infected computers to generate massive amounts of rednet traffic. I've tried it on my sponge server with about 10 zombies and it made the program crash after about 30 seconds, when I restarted the pc the log file couldn't be deleted or loaded. The booter might be useful to test the netblock network?

Forestry will probably be removed in the next version of tekkit and you don't have to use all mods, the advantage of tekkit is just having all the mods by just downloading the client and the Industrial/technical mods like CC, IC², Redpower, Buildrcraft and Railcraft are important for the system, we're working on.

Yeah I could create a firewall to protect the servers.
We really need a good firewall program to protect our Master server from DDoS and other attacks, this would include unauthorized access attempts.

I tried out rednet using bundled cables, it's nearly as fast as using modems, because it uses 15 binary cables at the same time.
It's good as a communication system inside the tower, but for FTP and mail, we'll still use modems.

Um, no.
The server story now is just the system with several districts with one main function for each. E.g.: District 2 generates energy and UU-Matter, district 4 is for mining.

GPS? What do you mean?

From watching those videos this looks pretty promising.

I want to implement some sort of network system on a server I play on with a few of my friends (too much work for me to make when other people can do it better), and I want to make sure I get something good. This looks like it would do just about everything I'd want.

I can't wait to try it out when you guys release this!

Sorry no release of code here. This is a very powerful project
strideynet #110
Posted 30 April 2012 - 06:54 AM
Extremely sorry but this code only works in certain circumstances too. Plus or minus certain accounts are built in….
(me and Leo)?
A. It wouldn't be easy to setup.installing like code on 59 servers.
And people would copy this enormous mass of code.

We will release the Internet on a public server.
We may give away some programs. Aka irc !

So sorry it could take us months to create this we don't want it stolen!
I may even go as far as getting proper legal rights on it!
strideynet #111
Posted 30 April 2012 - 07:10 AM
We arelannning on making a simple network for small servers which we will release but it wouldn't have routers so limited to a range of 50 and it wouldn't have dns are routing servers etc
Leo Verto #112
Posted 30 April 2012 - 09:23 PM
My server has been created to work with the system, the district system is so we can have one DNS subserver per district.
The whole system will be based on our programs.
strideynet #113
Posted 02 May 2012 - 07:51 AM
Yes and our code is closed source ! Think about it 3 days after code release thousands of people would instantly invent a Internet!
When they just copy our code
BigSHinyToys #114
Posted 02 May 2012 - 08:04 AM
I really don't get why you are so jumpy about people copying your code. from what i have read of the irc's code and the power point code it is nothing i could write in a couple of days. I have my own networking system that does all of the described functions of your system it is open source. I have no idea why you wont just release your code so we can all use it like most people on the forums do.

What is it about your Internet that is so "super advanced" that you are hiding it /sarcasm
Leo Verto #115
Posted 02 May 2012 - 04:12 PM
Hiding it wasn't my idea, I think it should be open source under a license (like Leoware) and we should build in some hints.
But we'll probably not release all of the code, just most of it including the working internet and a few services.
strideynet #116
Posted 03 May 2012 - 06:46 AM
We don't make a PowerPoint?
Sorry it's taking us a while to build it and it only works in certain circumstances so giving away the code is silly if it won't work.
.
We have systems with master and bundle cabled .
Plus or minus so many back doors it will make your head spin!
The system was made for our server and our server only in the sense of how it's coded especially with some computers talking via
Privat render to certain I'ds .
What's funny is if we find our Internet on someone's server and bring it down instantly! :)/>/>
Me and Leo will think about it when it's released if he can persuade me then he's got it in the hat as leoware

Tho he will have to do well.

Hi, are you still looking for help? I'm new to these forums but not new to tekkit! I've written some small programs and even made a fairly efficent and bug free wireless repeater network. I have a general listener program that i've made just for testing and also a nuclear powerplant controlled viz computer with remote control. I have many forms of contact! I'll update my profile here eventually, jsut PM me for now. :P/>/> I'd really love to help out! Thanks!

I might be interested in helping, at least part-time. I just started work on a full-function DNS server. I have DNS_GET working properly, but I still need to get updating and registering working.

Ok sounds good we need DNs!
D3matt #130
Posted 25 May 2012 - 07:44 AM
The only problem is I didn't plan for any sort of packet-switching or IP addressing because the server I wrote it on had modem range of 9999.
strideynet #131
Posted 25 May 2012 - 07:50 AM
Ahhhh.problemo but we have a expert on networking he can quickly fix that!

Yurndns server would reside inside the network towers near the central controller

Can u give us the commands the clients send to it and what they get back?
App1eGenius93 #132
Posted 25 May 2012 - 01:25 PM
I have imporved my repeater network. I have a few improvments to make but I feel it could be even better I'm just not sure of a better way to do it I suppose.
BTW: I have a teamspeak server (Currently offline, stupid internet) that I can make available for the team to use?
I don't think voice communication is very good for a programming
Leo Verto #134
Posted 26 May 2012 - 11:33 PM
Programmers usually express what they think in the form of text.
Talking about programming can be very difficult, your brain is trained to logically explain what you heard and 'repair' words it didn't understand by the content.
We should stay with text.

But I might be able to host a TS or mumble server if I get an Ubuntu server.

Posted 29 May 2012 - 03:33 PM

strideynet #137
Posted 31 May 2012 - 06:47 AM
Beginning to integrate Dns
strideynet #138
Posted 08 June 2012 - 08:46 AM
Ok so this is how we stand:
We are beginning to add dns
We are beginning to code routers
We are beginning to lay t1 cables to district routers
We are coding the master
Someone is making firewalls
We are flooding district 0 ( forget this one)
Leo Verto #139
Posted 08 June 2012 - 10:05 PM
Update:
We are beginning to add dns
We are beginning to code routers
We are beginning to lay t1 cables to district routers
We are coding the master
Someone is making firewalls
We now have a very nice lake

I've got an idea for faster and more-bandwidth data transport:
Using Redpower ribbon cables in the inter district tunnels and having redpower computers/IO expanders to translate multiple bundled inputs and send them through the buses.

This system allows us to have 6 multi-directional buses instead of 3 single cables in each direction.

Edit: I'm even thinking of using a lot more Redpower computers server-side to prevent frequent 'translation' of the signal.

This system would also add a new, realistic component: Internet speed, pinging and no nearly-instant connections depending on where the server is located and how it is connected.

Actually this is a advert anyone who can make us a awesome banner gets this stuff in Leo's server
& a swift wolf ring
10 diamonds
5 Hv solar panels
10 glass fibre cables

The diamonds are ok, I'm trying out more and more swiftwolfs, HV solar arrays are TOTALLY overpowered and D2 will supply power, 10 glass fibre cables…ok.

I can't speak for the rest of the team, but I'm just working on my DNS, then when I'm satisfied I'll hand it over to the team along with enough documentation for them to implement it for their needs.

Leo slow down!
We need dns first!!
Without it your servers are useless!
Dns works Like this:
1 you send the web address to dns server
2 it checks it's database for and Ip associated with that name then sends ip back to client
3client then goes to that server

I already have a DNS Server made :P/>/>

Hi. Im a coder and i know Lua,php,C# and visual basic.

With being a coder, i have been hacked a lot of websites. And computers. (real life.) With real backdoors and such stuff.

In computercraft, I was really quite good about writing Hidden backdoors , disabling functions , keyloggers , a iCloud software for file storage on a website (PHP).

Lets come to the subject. Creating a DNS and such stuff..

I have been wrote DNS,Browser,Server in a row. includes Web applications. So I did like your project.

I want to join NetBlock Project. and a qualified member in HaxOS , as it will be my new place to code.

I got enchantments that got better posibilities for using full power of our computer.

Sincerely,
CoLDarkness.

Ok netblock is dead. I learnt alot. 1 don't let others run servers for you 2 sadly don't recruit news 3 only use the elite!

So sadly netblock is dead. But I am going to take Leo binero nitro fingers and coldarkness and start a more elite team.
I have found a server with many players and soon more to code on to. They want our system alla cross spawn!
