Why don't you ask on a windows forum?

Because OS specific forums can be unforgiving and mentally exhausting. *looks at the countless rude Linux users on the interwebz, countless rude Windows users on the interwebz, and the extremely nice and gentle Unix/BSD users on the interwebz*

I disagree. The two times I've had to go to a Windows forum for help, they were knowledgeable and polite and kept working with me until the problem was solved. And I laugh heartily at your statement that unix/BSD users are nicer than other OS users.

For starters, they are there to help people with Windows. I didn't come here to help people with their Windows problems, I don't think anybody else did either. It's not a tech support forum.

Take it to an Apple Store… oh wait. See, this is why Windows must die.

I said that Linux users were bad, too. They're ruthlessly assholish when people "don't understand". Windows is kind of a gray area. There's some people that are utterly rude, others that want to help. But, BSD/Unix users aren't too bad in my experience. They always seem to be helpful compared to the other 2 OSes, at least to the point of giving you a link to a page that'll be of some use to new users.

Take it to an Apple Store… oh wait. See, this is why Windows must die.

So how are you liking your either outdated or just overall inferior hardware, plus the 600usd markup you get with buying the "Apple brand"?

Now, I don't want to get in to an argument. But how is a 2880-by-1800 resolution at 220 ppi inferior hardware?

You do realize that that's not unique at all to Mac, right? Maybe for their laptops but, come on, who needs that much resolution on a laptop? And, your videocard in your little MacBook. I can get a laptop with the exact same hardware (minus the screen) for a great deal less (I think last time I priced it, it was about a 1000usd difference). So, does that 2880x1800 14 inch screen really value up to 1000usd? If so, your computer priorities are rather out of wack.

Edit: Also, I'd personally not want to get into an argument on why Mac hardware is, in general, inferior to PC hardware. If you would like to continue, feel free to shoot me a PM and we can have a nice discussion on hardware :3

Because computers aren't giant screens, however much Apple wants people to believe they are.

Considering that a harmless question to help has now devolved into a OS flame war, I'm just going to lock this thread. No point in continuing it.

NeptunasLT: For issues like that, I suggest contacting official customer support or other official channels. They are trained to help you with what you are doing, and get paid to do it. We don't.
