And just to clarify: turtle 0 is named 'mine' - turtle 1 is put down, and you tell it to become turtle 0 as well - it's now named 'mine'. - OR - allow turtles to join a group; so they all have access to the same program. (like joining a network… then ID's won't matter.) :)/>

Methinks this would cause many problems.
A good way of having turtles share programs, is to perhaps have a central 'programs server' in which to store and create all of the programs you want on your turtles, then have your turtles wirelessly download them on startup. That is, if you have the ender pearls to do so.
However a less expensive solution shouldn't exist, due to the fact that having turtles share block IDs is too much of a fourth wall bound and hacky solution.
EDIT: Wait, isn't this basically a normal turtle with an ender chest?
