He meant you can't place a monitor on top of a stone slab. Personally, I don't think that's a bug. That's just Minecraft.

I have several on half slabs. I'm betting you put the slab on the bottom half of the 'box' - not the top part.Try place a monitor on a half slab, i dare you! :P/>

Please provide more detail, screenshots and how to accurately reproduce this bug. Otherwise Cloudy and Dan will ignore it.
