I tried to make a new signature see. I know, only 3 lines. No pictures. 3 links. That jazz. It was two lines with three links and no pictures and it didn't work.

What I did:

Please fix!

No idea what you were doing wrong, but I managed to add that line just fine.

I have had this error before, where I believe it would count the total lines either in the html or the rich text(not sure). Maybe that's what it is?

You should first try to disable the "friendly" editor by using the switch and enter your signature as BBCode, being careful not to add an extra newline at the end. Newlines, even if nothing is on them (Or double new-lines), are counted.

The limit doesn't ignore html links, like Cranium hinted. You could have one line with one long link and it would count as three.

Maybe because very long lines counts as multiple lines, not by screen resolution, that wouldn't make much sense.

Personally I believe signature limits should be extended to 5-10 lines.

Do not start. We are not having a repeat of this.

Hehe, that would not be a good day for AfterLifeLochie if someone were to do this. :P/>

More then 5 is too many anyway.

That's part of the reason it was limited in the first place

I really wish the limit was 5 line and 5 links, just because 5 is much nicer number then 3. I see a lot of top 5 lists but rarely do I ever just see a top 3.

Well, you can thank everyone who abused their signature privileges. They are not a right, and can be taken away.

Yes, top three lists aren't very common. Clearly, it is three too many.

Locked.
