Are double postings allowed? I've read the rules and triple checked and I saw no mention of them, but I just wanted to make sure, because sometimes I want to post something in a place that I've already posted something, but I don't want to just edit the first post because its unrelated to it.

There is nothing wrong about it. But posting constantly instead of editing a post is just a dumb move and people on IRC will be mad.

The criteria is essentially: If the useful content that you're posting deserves a new post, make a new post. If the useful content that you're posting does not deserve a new post, edit it into your last post, if no one has since replied. Don't post useless content.
