You would need to render each side on the screen at once. Oh and tables. Lots of tables :P/>

Edit: Now if you really want to impress me, do it with turtles and rednet :)/>

We actually have a robot like this at uni, that students created a few years ago. her name is Ruby.

If we could place monitors like droppers and dispensers, then you could make a cool 3D Rubik's cube.

well, it would be nice if we could have monitors that could face up/down, because then this could definitely be made.

wool covers and frames, oh think of the lag if you tried to do it in that time!

You wouldn't be able to.
1. Frames don't work that way
2. They don't go that fast either.

Monitors would be your best bet

how would you move a monitor?
and like you said they cant face up or down
SadKingBilly #15

You wouldn't move the monitors. You would move the colors on the monitors. It would be difficult to play (since monitors can't face up or down), but it would be possible.

see thats just cheating, i want the thing to move not just the colours lol

Oh, hahaha. :lol:/>

Well, if you didn't mind having spaces between the blocks, I bet you could use RP2 frames and frame motors to do it. I don't know the specifics of RP2 frames, but a Rubik's cube wouldn't require that much movement (remember, the middle squares don't move at all), just some complicated logic. You would probably have to use tapes instead of a cube, though.

you could have the frames cover the cube so every one could move and then when its finished have the machine move away to reveil it done

You can also use rednet controlled turtles to break and place wool in an orchestrated fashion.

Back on therdf i quite popular redstone server back in the day when redstone was the shit. Me and some other admins made a rubics cube that ran off of pistons.

That's what I said :P/> This would be pretty snazzy to see. Of course, it would take time to make.
