turtles should be able to spawn kinda as a mob, but not as an entity, but as a block.
every turtle spawned in the world would have a random program running.
when you break 1 of those turtles, you won`t get a turtle, but you would get a floppy disk with the program on it the turtle was running.
the program would be a random code, but (functional) working code.
the code could be something usefull for running, but it could also be a tutorial.

That sounds terrible. Go away.
Don't be rude.
Also, this is not likely to happen.

we would have to wait until Dan or Cloudy says something about it, i guess.
EDIT:some sort of way to get a random program at least would be nice, right?
or there are more ways to do this, we could put them in gen(generated) chests.

Nah. We may add some village/dungeon chest interaction in the future though.

it would be neat if there is a way to get a random program, now i thought about it, i like the gen chests a lot more.
a tutorial would be more common then a useful program:
tutorial:80% chance to get.
useful program: 20% chance to get.

What about having a farming turtle in a village? Or a melee turtle that tries to kill you in a dungeon…?

This would be pretty funny, seeing as turtles can't detect players and would pretty much be randomly moving about and swinging their swords blindly.

It sounds like a very cheap destructive weapon. I say no.

Yes, your decision means everything, Mr. Developer.
Although I dont like this suggestion, the world doesnt revolve around you.

largely tangent to the original suggestion, but speaking of CC and villages, I've always thought a new, rare villager house that's got a computer desk would be nice. I don't think forge has hooks for adding custom sub-structures to the village generator, tho, so not sure it's a viable idea any time soon.

Just to list two, Thaumcraft and Forestry both add structures to villages…

do they? I never use forestry, and when I played with TC, I don't think I bothered looking for a village… huh. Guess there is a way to add them, then. Somebody, go forth and do it!

What are you wont to trade from CC Villager? Disk with some programs?
Or all, you want is to steal his Computer?
As CC mob, Turtle is a bad idea. May be some special little version, but still bad.
It would looks quite better if special Zombie would be added. We all knew about Zombie in Gold Armor. Think about Zombie in CC Armor, providing PDA in his inventory with some informations and means to control his actions. Little drop chance would be legit way to obtain those items. And Player would be able to drop PDA and CC Armor to get limited control over Zombie, who will pick it up.
I could describe more if someone interested.

Well, villages could generate computers with a disk drive with a random program connected up
