I found the .rom file. Don't know what to write it with. It has to run off of a flash drive/CD.

I didn't. I flashed a modified BIOS so I could run Windows XP/ 2k. I failed at installing both XP and 2k. So now I want to flash it back, so I can run the default TIM OS. As I said, I have the .rom file. I just need something to write it with.

Try googling it. Always works. Or ask on Stackoverflow.

WHY DID YOU ASK ME TO PUT IT ON STACKOVERFLOW!?!?! They closed it. It's a programming forum, not a hardware forum.

Relax, son. http://electronics.stackexchange.com
Also, read the damn instructions about creating proper questions.

Yay! I got XP on the thing! But now the wireless won't work. The stupid modified bios is blocking everything. I need a BIOS writer.

You need to install the proper drivers for your wireless card… I don't believe XP had any generic wifi drivers built in.
Edit: As for a BIOS flasher, you probably have to write OpenDOS to a bootable flashdrive.

I have installed the drivers. And I have found the BIOS flasher. I flashed the bios, and there was no difference. Please help.

You possibly might not have installed the proper drivers then, or installed the Windows Vista/7/8 versions of the drivers, which likely aren't compatible with Windows XP. As well, a lot of manufacturers use different components in laptops they produce, so they might have 3-4 different drivers for that particular model and it's built in Wifi reciever.

No offense, but you don't know what your talking about. I have two versions of the WIFI drivers, and they both are for XP. Other BenQ users have said it works, but I found that it doesn't.

Well, if you have 2 different Wifi drivers, and one doesn't work, that means that the other should. So you uninstall which ever one you installed that didn't work, then install the other one. If that doesn't work, I can only assume that the Wifi chip is potentially burnt out.

YOU DON'T KNOW. I have used the WIFI chip when the TIM OS was installed.

Then the only issue I could see is you're using the wrong driver.

It's the bios, just google it. You'll see…

In the first few pages of google that I've found, it hasn't consisted of any known wifi issues for the Benq S6 TIM. I even tried searching for Benq S6 TIM Bios wifi issues and the only thing I really found pointing it to being a BIOS issue was in regards to non-Windows OSes lacking drivers for it. Have you checked the BIOS settings to make sure that Wifi is enabled? I did see a few sites saying that it was possible during reflashes that the Wifi flag got flipped off, though I'm not sure if they were pertaining to the same BIOS exactly.

There are no BIOS settings.
