You need to make sure you're facing the same way as you place down the vertical monitors. Much like how pistons are placed, it matters where you aim, and where you are.
The monitors do have an indicator as to the 'top' and 'bottom' of the monitor, on the sides. Make sure those all match up.

Because there is no 'up' or 'down' on the horizontal plane. so horizontal monitors use the 'up' and 'down' of the vertical plane to place.

they're not rotated the same way! I admit I cook make it easier to tell this on the advanced monitors by changing the contrast. closing as not a bug
