Nope.
The IDs are the way they are for a reason. I doubt that's going to change, ever.

Through the power of labels and creative mode or NEI you're able to do this already, in any context outside of this it would not make much sense. I wouldn't want just some random survival person on a server being able to put down a computer that was one of my computer IDs.

In an older version of CC this could be achieved by placing a computer and middle-clicking it. I dont know if it stll works.

I'm not sure about that, but you can place a computer, label it, break it and then middle click the item in your inventory. (Creative only)In an older version of CC this could be achieved by placing a computer and middle-clicking it. I dont know if it stll works.
