I have read all forum guidelines and rules. But it states nothing about bumping topics. Other than the fact you must post constructively.
I am wondering for like a programs list type topic. Could we post another post in a row if no one replies. Like if you added new content to the list of programs. Or major releases?
Because my topic is dropping out of list quickly but I am updating it quite a bit..
I know obviously I should not post Every update.. But Would it be ok to post occasional major updates on stuff.
Also if its possible. Could you add this to the forum guidelines post. So others would not repeat this question if it does get asked…
I know a post like just stating bump.. Is most likely not allowed..
I am just looking for clarifications on posting after a previous old post of your own..

It's pretty much covered in the Forum Guidelines as well as it can be. A post like "fixed a couple bugs" doesn't add much, but a post summarizing several new features and bug fixes does. It's a little subjective, but as long as you're not spammy about it, and don't seem to be bumping simply to try to stay on the first page of topics, it should be fine. It's okay to let your topic fall off the first page if you aren't adding significant content to it.

Thankyou. And yes I did mean significant updates. I would not post small stuff either way. They would be big. I just was unsure if its ok to post when the last post is already your own post.

A lot of time I will edit the first post and say *bump because of update*

Yeah, don't do that. Put a writeup in the new post as well talking about what you did.

On top of this, you should be cautious to limit your bumping. If you're bumping twice daily and nobody else is posting, it
may be because people aren't interested - topic interest
isn't forced.
(And since when do you have a picture, Lyqyd? Have I really been absent this long o_o?)

I'm pretty sure it wasn't there this morning, I could be wrong though. It just doesn't look right! Where is the default image?! :P/>

I figured I might as well finally go click the "Use gravatar" button in the settings last night. Figured since I'm almost to three thousand posts, it was about time. :P/>

Well, ok not litterialy *bump because of update* replace "because of update" with some summary about the update. Plus I only do if it 1. its major update (new features, program braking bug.) 2. it been a few days, and 3. its not on the front page, oh and only if the lua is updated if its and update to something on my PHP server and dose not require a new download I leave it.
