Why does it say that it's unread if I just posted?

This has happened multiple times to me over the past few days.

Did you just read it and clicked the "go back" button in your browser (I.E. in chrome it's in the top left corner)? In that case the page is not refreshed.

I've noticed that if someone votes in a poll that it'll say there's a new post even though there's not. Does that topic have a poll in it?

They use IP,Board. Any bug in the forum software will have to be fixed by the company that provides it.

Because IPB sucks, essentially. If you don't actually view the post, it'll show as unread. And if you don't actually look at a forum that you've read every post in after reading the last post, IE you read the post then go back to the root, it'll show as unread… And so on for all possible levels. Which brings me back to the beginning. IPB sucks.

You can always mark all as read, though. It's not as if it's a big deal.
