This definitely looks nice! Is it based on this: http://www.computercraft.info/forums2/index.php?/topic/10786-wolf3d-style-3d-engine-proof-of-concept/ ? Because the screenies look like it would be.
Edit: sorry, just saw it in the op

3D is awesome, but I think the 19x56 pixels(I'm not entirely sure if that's right) screen with 16 colors just isn't the best for 3D games.

Nonsense. 39x19 16-color graphics are the future of of all 3d graphics.

/joke quick someone make doom1/2 now!! :D/>

I was cautious of this at first, until i played around and saw that its full 360 3D capable…

now im sitting here wondering about possibilities, and wondering how hard a 3D game with mobs and all can be made… mineception anyone?

This looks awesome! Great job! Definitely going to check it out. It makes me wonder about the possibilities of something like this on monitors. I could imagine a holodeck style setup with floor/wall/ceiling monitors all working together. That would be amazing.

Mine craft = 8 bit
Maze = 16 Bit

SO Can you make Mine Craft in Computer Craft?
jesusthekiller #22
Posted 24 July 2013 - 11:12 AM
… What?

Essentially you can, but it would be really low resolution :P/>

It would probably slow as hell too, haha.

Nice program by the way.

Minecraft is 16 bit, not 8.

Minecraft is 16 bit, not 8.

I'm pretty sure Minecraft is at minimum 32-bit/64-bit given the fact that it runs on the x86-64 CPU platform. I don't believe any 16-bit CPU could actually handle Minecraft, not only power-wise but RAM-wise as well. In computers, the bit refers to the CPU, not the graphics. Even then, the graphics would be classified as 24-bit.

Minecraft has 16x16 pixel blocks, I believe, and the program is 32-bit. Pixels != Bits.
