Looking for a CCDesk server :P
Started by Zudo, 10 July 2013 - 09:26 AMPosted 10 July 2013 - 11:26 AM
After the release of networking in CCDesk, I was planning on setting up my own, realizing too late that my father had changed the password on my router, so I can't portforward. Does anyone own, or know of a good server?

How about asking your father?

Run a Ethernet cable to your computer, and bypass the router. :D/>

Drill a hole into your router, put a straw in it, and suck out the raw internet goodness.

Maybe "hack" the password?
Something like Brute Force should work if it isn't the strangest password ever :P/>

You are discussing illegal activities, then.

Why?
If he does it, he tries to hack himself :D/>

No. His father's property is not his - he does not own it. If he is not intended to be able to enter, yet tries to, he is breaking the law - he is hacking into it.

Use Hamachi?

That is something no one except the most desperate people should use.Use Hamachi?

Well, considering it's not too widespread at the moment, I think Hamachi would work fine in this instance if it's just a temporary thing. If you want a permanent installation, I suggest getting your own server then.

Perhaps I will use hamachi for the moment, it's just i don't like it

It's definitely not the ideal situation, but since you said you cannot port forward, that may be your only option at this time to create a server others can use.
