Can we please stop with all the "OSes" which are just modified shells and the password locks which are easily hacked through using ctrl+t?

At the least, make sure your program is -not- easily duplicatable in 1 minute, works, fits the terminology used, and if it is a password lock, secure.

Haha - take ALL of CraftOS files out of the /rom folder, and then start coding. That's an OS ;)/>/>

Agreed. Someone rewriting your code showing you a better way to make your program is one thing, but when a bunch of different people go out and make new threads about their 'new' programs that duplicate the functionality it gets annoying

<.< >.> can we post links to this thread in every new thread about a lock/ 'os' or duplicate progrm?

Hey, I just made a new lock program, look at me!!

Nah, just kidding, I agree, making yourself a lock-program is one of the first things people do once they have CC, me included, but there is no need to make new threads about it! I'd happily link 'm to here ;)/>/>

Here's the result!

Idea… how about we take all "Os"es and "Locks" and merge them all in a thread for each topic and require spoilers for all code/videos? that would certianly cut down on clutter once all the old threads were culled

shoot, at that ad a thread for 'install programs' too and I'd happily cull my own post and move my stuff there <_</>/>
because I've seen at least two or three other programs that do the same thing as my installer that are just a little fancier

in fact come to think of it, one of them is already on my post, just move the others and rename my thread XD

I disagree about this being the best way, if you're writing an OS for SMP use (as am I :)/>/> ) then it must work well with the default rom, unless you can get your server admin to replace the it, which is highly unlikely.

However, I totally agree about grouping similar programs in one, two threads to decrease the mess.
