So… I just got my Powerbook G4 a week ago… and I need a good code editor for it. It's running OS X 10.5.

Is there ANY code editors for PPC?

TextWrangler 3.5.3 (an old version) should work on your PPC mac.

Something modern looking? I'm using Vim for now, but I would like something like Notepad++ or LightTable.

Why would you ever need something other than Vim? It's amazing. You can use GVim, though.

Vim looks… old school. I currently use Notepad++ on my windows desktop. Looking for something like that. (Only if someone ported NP++ to mac… :D/>)

Why do you have a powerbook :mellow:/> those things are super outdated.

(didn't want it to be a video, just c&p it into your browser) just look in the description. It's what I like to use. Don't know if it works with 10.5, may want to try http://winehq.org or something.Posted 19 July 2013 - 02:04 AM

That uses Wine which isn't supported on Power PC

'Cause I can't afford anything newer. I got my PowerBook for 100 bucks, my charger for 8 bucks, (but it's cheap, made in china, so it doesn't work half the time) and battery for 15 bucks. (also cheap, lasts about 2 hours) Funny thing is, when I got my PowerBook, it had a pirate 10.4 DVD in it. :lol:/>
