While I have been posting and editing my posts after i have posted them (with no other new replies being made…) I have noticed several bugs and errors appear in my code and posts. (which I have not made myself)
I have noticed the exact same bugs occuring in other peoples posts.
for example ((a- B)/>) – hope this worked here. as it should be ( ( a - b ) )
((a-B)/>/>/>) -- it definately works here
every time I edit this post it adds a new >/ or whatever it is. lol
Yup it worked it capitalized the b, and now I see it's trying to translate it into a smiley.
it's nothing big when we're working in forums, BUT when capitalization makes a difference between code working and not working… it's a big deal. ( would the smiley be better as :8 )

It's a known issue that we can't/won't do anything about. Don't use the b<b></b>) character combination in code posted here if it's important.

I was thinking these forums might be based on the BB2 style forum. (I used to be a admin on a forum, where I had a hosted website.) I remembered there being options to change the smiley codes in the admin panel. hehe B)/> B)/> - testing the smiley codes
B)/>
I will avoid the error in future - found out that putting a simple [ space ] between the b and ) stops the error.

While on the topic of forum bugs:
The forum is set to color code for a different language than Lua, indicated by how it chooses to color code past apostrophe: '
Everything after that turns green, indicating a comment or string value (would be my guess).
The forum generally derps up seriously in regards to smileys. It doesnt really matter which smiley is used, the forum pretty much always appends a bunch of HTML end-tags along with it: >/>/>. Perhaps disable the smiley rendering altogether?
Yes Lyqyd I did read your response to the author of this thread, but maybe a forum update is something that could be considered sometime in the (distant) future? :)/>

In regards to improvements on the existing forums. Not much is going to change last I heard, as plans are to replace the forum software with a much better one. IP.Board isn't as good as most would think from an administration standpoint
