Suffix For File Names

When using Notepad++ for program editing, it's redundant to have to select 'Lua' for every file.
Could a .lua suffix be added to all programs saved? This would only be an internal modification, and would not affect the appearance of programs in-game.

I just feel things would make things more orderly in a broad sense.

Thanks for the consideration.

It doesn't make sense to make a change to the game that makes everything more difficult in-game solely to benefit a few users of an external editing program.

As things along this line (perhaps this exact suggestion, even) have been suggested and denied previously, I'm locking this topic.

Even though this has been locked, I do want to put my two cents in here.

This can be done with the tools already available to you. In the edit program, you can simply change how it saves programs, appending '.lua' to the end of the filename.
