It's The Space Age

It's the space age now, and you are going to work on a large space ship for a living,
What job would you do on the space ship?

Would you be able to work with that job forever?
(Like if it was a programming job that was going to be finished soon)

What would you do in your job?
(If you were a scientist, what would you study basically)

Why would you choose that job?

The ship can hold 5,000 people, each person with a certain job that they choose. The distance it is travelling is from our solar system to another one across the galaxy, and it will get there in 50 years.

What job would you do on the space ship?
Space ship robot programmer & technician.
Would you be able to work with that job forever?
Yes, because the robot would be repairing the space ship all the time from space debris, so i would need to fix them and make them smarter.
What would you do in your job?
Repair the Robots if they get damaged, and program them to be smarter.
Why would you choose that job?
Because I love programming, and simply love robots as well.
