OK I know many people have suggested making wired modems have a longer range or giving the wireless modem the option to have no range limits… face it folks that will never happen.

So here is my suggestion-

The Ender Modem:

(recipe suggestion)
GEG
EDE
GEG

E- Eye of ender
G- gold block
D- diamond or emerald block

that would create a pair of blocks that are linked (like an AE entangled singularity) and would accept a network wire connection and then any messages that it receives are then duplicated at the other end effectively making a dimensional bridge connecting 2 remote networks into 1. My recipe suggestion is just that a suggestion, I only know that what ever it would be should be extremely expensive and involved to build. I'm only making this suggestion because as it is now there is not any way (without addons, other mods, or altering server files) to get a network to span across dimensions.

Personal I just wish that the wireless signal would travel through portals and stargates (especially stargates! how can my malp send me back environmental data and readings if I can't get a signal through the wormhole!)

P.S.-shouldn't the wireless modem already have limitless range and dimensional ability since the recipe changed to use an ender pearl? Maybe change it back to using a redstone torch if it is going to remain so limited?

Ender pearls are for teleportation. Eyes of ender make a dimensional portal. Eyes of ender would be more reasonable if it was infinitely wireless.

This has no admin/mod comment, why so quiet?

Some threads are completely ignored, esp when they become repetitive.

Oh. I didn't think it would be that stupid, but okay .

The pair of modems connected together is interesting. Kinda like QCraft. Unlimited by distance, limited by connections. To take advantage of this, you'd have to create a lot of these pairs and wire computers together in the traditional fashion (i.e., still a bit difficult to do). You wouldn't be able to control a fleet of turtles with this method unless you had a massive bank of modems at the control center. If one end is in an unloaded chunk it'll do nothing, though.

I like this idea.
