Hello,
This issue is pretty much the same as this but that topic was locked and I'd like to add to it saying it happens with any advanced search. If you click the gear icon next to the search button, then enter any valid search (follows search rules (eg 3 chars or more per word), not has results) on that page, the errors will come on the top of the page like this:

Warning: Illegal string offset 'noPreview' in /home/dan200/public_html/forums2/admin/applications/forums/extensions/search/engines/sql.php on line 1170

Warning: Illegal string offset 'pCount' in /home/dan200/public_html/forums2/admin/applications/forums/extensions/search/engines/sql.php on line 1176

Lochie has said he'll contact Dan, but since that was a while ago, I'm wondering if it's just me who gets this, or whether Dan has been too busy (hopefully giving us lots of new features!) to react on this information. (I hope I don't come off rude by posting this - I meant to just politely remind the admins/Dan of the situation.)

I've also encountered this numerous times. Search still works, but it doesn't look great.

Oh, thanks for the confirmation. I thought Dan might have fixed the issue, and that it might be something weird on my machine.

Dan doesn't fix any issues to do with the forums.

Yea the only person (that I'm aware of at least) who could is Lyqyd and he's pretty busy. So, as this isn't really a major issue I can't see it getting fixed in the foreseeable unless Lochie comes back or another administrator appears.

There's also the fact that the search function sucks. Can't search for 3-letter words, for example - why do most forum engines' search functions blow so much? Words shorter than 4 letters are REALLY common.

Thus the requirement for words over four letters(or whatever)

What? Was something not clear? I'm saying that since 3-letter words are common, not being able to search for them is preposterous.

Sorry. Because they are so common, they are excluded. Otherwise, your search would be flooded with junk that has 'the' in it. Although I do agree that it's a pain, I believe it would be worse if three letter words were allowed.

It wouldn't magically spam your results unless you were searching for "the", or whatever.

you don't actually need the site: part you can just do computercraft: [search term] but for the most relevant computercraft.info/forums2/: [search term]
