This has been seen a few times. If you switch to the default texture pack and launch minecraft with it, does the issue resolve itself? Some people have reported success with launching with the default pack and then switching over to their preferred pack.

Switch to the normal Textures and then switch to the antoher texturepack work, but that is rly awkward … i have to do that everytime … :o/>

Yeah, that's the only workaround I know of unless the issue gets fixed at some point.

I seem to find that some fonts actually work. I wonder what the results are like with this mod: http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/1981260-172forgebetterfonts-opentypetruetype-fonts-support/
