Whenever I am online, I check the "online users" at the bottom of the page, and there is always a user named "Google" online. You cannot click his name, and as far as I know he is not actually a member. Is there any explanation for this, is it a bug, or purposely there, or what?

It's Google's web crawler. The forum software recognises it and flags it separately from other guests.

Web crawlers are bots which surf the internet automatically, gathering information about the pages they find. Google uses this information to run their search and cache services.

This is why you can make a post and then approximately a max of 5 minutes later find it on Google.
