If an Advanced Turtle is dyed, keep the back panel (i.e. that bit that juts out of the back) gold. This will allow for easier recognition if you dye a regular and an advanced turtle the same colour.

Nah ;p In my opinion if you dye him you want him to be all in color you want ;D

This just about calls for a poll. Both viewpoints make sense.

I fail to see how it matters. The turtle won't act any differently while you're not using it, wether you know it's an advanced or not. While you're using it you can easily tell the difference. And besides, if you're stupid enough to dye your regular turtle yellow, you should know you did it.

Poll added. Now you can upvote (or perfectly reasonably, downvote) gold plated designer turtles without posting in the thread. Feedback still appreciated, however.

As soon as you open the turtle, you know it is advanced. Why do you need to know from the outside?

To save time, I suppose.

Its your turtle, you dyed it,propably labeled it so it has name over itself, why would you not know its advanced?

Just open the gui and you see it's advanced… It's not that much of a deal and you dyed the turtle after all

Also, a gold plate would look ugly with a lot of colors…

You could just use NEI or WAILA and see if its advanced by looking at it.

We are talking about vanilla cc only, because I don't have much installed other then CC and codechicken core to run mods in obf mode (mod developing)

Ok, I'm… Interested by the results. I'd like to thank you all for your opinions, but it seems, at least at this point in time, there is not enough demand for this idea to justify it's implementation. To the six who voted yes, thank you. We may be the minority, but it pleases me that at least some people agree with me. Please continue discussing this if you wish, but I will not be reading further comments.

Thanks,
Tantusar.
