Hey guys, i was hoping to see dye-able pda's in the future of computercraft, just for decoration purposes!

I like this, if 2 players put their PDAs in, say, an AE system, and have 2 Storage Monitors (one per PDA) for the PDAs, then both players will be able to tell which PDA to take out by right clicking

I like the idea, but maybe instead of dying the actual PDA, you dye a PDA case, and then craft your PDA with your case. That would then lend to you being able to somehow "swap out" cases on your PDA to whatever color you feel like!

Or just redye it like you redye turtles? why over complicate it?I like the idea, but maybe instead of dying the actual PDA, you dye a PDA case, and then craft your PDA with your case. That would then lend to you being able to somehow "swap out" cases on your PDA to whatever color you feel like!

Yes, but naming your PDA isn't as fun as being able to dye it.

I'd love to see everything be dye-able, not just PDAs! Admittedly the only reason I've been hesitant to use Advanced versions of anything in ComputerCraft is because I really don't like the gold texture for it. It's a silly reason, I know, but I'd love to have a grey/black/white monitor with a colour screen, rather than a somewhat garish-looking gold system. :D/>

/support. Also maybe doable advanced computers? I hate the gold color as well.

if you hate the gold color, i think i have a solution
make a minecraft recorce pack that replaces the gold texture with another color. others wont be abile to see it but at least you dont have to deal with it.

They should make a block that is built for changing the color of the pda(And Extentions)

this is a great idea that probably wouldnt be that hard
you could just add a few recipies and do something in windows paint and it will be done

I never used a PDA, but dying it doesn't seems to be necessary.
