So you suggest to add virus vulnerability to CC? And also a chance for programs to become broken?
Do you want people to constantly loose their files? Do you have nothing to keep safe?
Do you know CC computers are vulnerable already? Do you want them to be worse?

Why get get rid of CC's security? That is what making CC so awesome, you are sure nothing will harm your pc, because you can check the code yourself!

Real computers were not designed to have virus, people worked around to get one, unfortunately, as CraftOS doesn't have a rednet explorer by default like other OSes and rednet way of communication being different, just made it hard to share the virus, although, you can still make one and find a work-around. Like running my format utility without anyone noticing is also a malware. NOTICE: Don't blame me for making that program, the code is so small and easy that a 6-old could do it.. Also, depending of the server you are playing at, using malwares might be "legal" or not. Read the rules first.

Just to tell, my format utility requires confirmation to run, that's why its not a virus.

Sometime, just to prove how possible viri already are in CC, I want to make a benign virus that
1) Replaces the startup program
2) Overrides the fs and io APIs to hide its files and redirect certain calls
3) Overwrite the startup file on disks
4) Spreads through booting from said disks
5) Communicate through http API

Then, unleash it on a server for a week and at the end of the week, see how many computers I managed to "infect." And then have them all remove themselves :3

No need to overwrite io - its based on fs so if fs is overwritten its should act like you want :P/>

I'm just gonna say no to this. There is a reason we do not allow malicious programs or code on our forums, because we do not like it. I can speak for Dan200 when I say, "We will not be adding any vulnerabilities into ComputerCraft ever."
