I’ve had this idea for a while and thought I should share it. This would be a tekkit server that has a small city. This city consists of rows and streets of houses that are all very similar but not the same some big some small and use residence, which is a plugin that lets you purchase land which would be the houses, and setup a life sim play by making a power plant and have every house wired up to a batbox in the house that the owner of the house can feed from in order to fuel things like electric furnaces etc. And charge the player for that energy. We cut off their power supply by simply breaking the cable on our end if they don’t pay etc.

I also want to have computers in every house but… This would be tricky since I want to be able to prevent someone from going on the computer in general if they don’t pay. Somewhat of a login and registering system for computer craft that sends the username and passwords to a main computercraft computer. The players go to spawn and sign up for internet there and pay then they go up to computers at spawn and create there user/pass and the main computer gives them access to use their computers at home. They just simply go on to their computer and login and depending on if they paid then it will let them use anything on the computer.

Ideas?

Don't break the cable if they don't pay, use EU splitter cables :)/>/>

How do you measure the amount they use though?

And I don't know EXACTLY but that computer thingy should be doable if you edit the rom

Also: disable EE :)/>/>

I would measure it by filling up 1 batbox and let them drain the energy from that once the batbox is full.

Well thats not gonna make many people happy if they have to wait for the batbox to get new energy and have stuttery machines because batbox only has 32 eu/t :)/>/>

Sounds nice, but lots of servers do that and don't get anywhere. Instead of making people pay for computers (because you know, they could just craft one) you should make them pay for internet access.
