Yestarday ResetTheNet happened, and I decided to try out the TorBrowser. It's not too bad, really, so I've been using it. But when I come to the forums it says:
[#2000] You are not allowed to visit this community.
What's up with this??
I did also enable a Firewall, but it's not blocking this site. I can still visit here on Safari.

I can connect perfectly using TorBrowser. Did you try using a different IP?

Several TOR IP's have been banned from this forum for one reason or another. If you want to browse normally, you'll have to configure your setup to not browse ComputerCraft.info behind a TOR IP.

Tor exit nodes generally get IP banned due to use by unsavory characters who then come back and try to evade their ban.

On the plus side, AFAIK, ComputerCraft does not track your info, and it definitely does not share it with third parties. The only thing you have to worry about here is suspicious links, and malicious ads. Both of which are generally well managed here anyway.

I don't really care if advertisers want to track me. I just hate their crappy algorithms that show totally irrelevant ads. The ad I see most often on these forums is one telling me I should get Creative Cloud. Would it hurt to put a bit more effort in and realize that I already have the full suite, advertisers?

Or 3rd-party plugins.

There are three widgets/apps/plugins/whatever on this this site that that track users in one way or another. They are (as reported by Ghostery, a Firefox/Chromium/Opera privacy plugin I highly recommend):The first two track primarily anonymous data, and are, for the most part, harmless, but the G+ Platform is kinda invasive, even associating collected data with your phone number if you're browsing from your phone.
I don't know about you, but I'd rather Google asked before taking my phone number…

You do know you can change your google plus settings, right?
Also, if you have an android phone, and linked it to your google account, then it did tell you that you were giving it your phone number. It does not track your phone number if you did not already give it to them. You kind of need to read those privacy agreements.
Anything you put on the internet can be publicly available at any time, depending on who you provide it to.The point I was making, was that ComputerCraft does not track you. You have to provide the information to other third party services before they can track it.
