I saw this being posted a lot, so I admit that I am not alone with this problem, but none of explanations helped me. The point is, when I place a computer and right-click it I only get black monitor screen.

I tried to rename .zip file from "ComputerCraft1.63" to "ComputerCraft", tried to extract it, reinstalled plenty of times, but I still get black screen. I am running Minecraft 1.6.4 with ComputerCraft version 1.63 on Windows 7 Ultimate. Among CC I've got plenty of mods, here's the full list:

Applied Energetics;
NEI;
Immibis Microblocks;
Shoulder Surfing;
WarpDrive Core;
WarpDrive;
BuildCraft;
Universal Electricity;
IC2 Experimental;
Atomic Science;
ICBM;
Galacticraft Core;
Rei Minimap;
Laser Mod;
Backpack Mod;
Carpenter's Blocks;
Gravity Gun;
Portal Gun;
Greg's Lighting;
Hats Mod;
Iron Chest;
Mekanism;
Portable Mining Laser;
More Pistons;
Morph;
Mystcraft;
OpenBlocks;
PanickleCraft;
RedLogic;
SecurityCraft;
Simple Recycling;
TF2 Sentry, Teleporter, Dispenser;
Wireless Redstone

But I am not confident about do all this mods affect CC in any way though.

Any ideas why I'm getting this problem over and over and how can I fix this?

Computercraft is not a zip anymore, it's a .jar file. How in the world are you getting a .zip file?

Maybe he's running an old CC version?

Edit: Nevermind xD

Last I checked, since CC went to a JAR, extracting the archive out has worked just fine.

I'm leaning towards an out-of-date Forge version.

forge log would help as well

In your game directory, there should be a file labeled ForgeModLoader-client-0.log. copy the contents of that to something like pastebin, and post the link here. If there's a crashlog, we'd also like that.

Suddenly and unexpectedly: fixed! Tried reinstalling, after 5th time CraftOS loaded

How to close this topic?

For now, I'll leave this topic open for a few days, just in case the issue occurs again. If it does, we'd really need that log file to know what's going on.

Again. I installed everything correctly, but the next time I logged onto the game the blank computer monitors came again. I reinstalled everything again, CraftOS loaded correctly, but the next time I loaded Minecraft, the blank monitors appeared. This problem seems to appear every time I log off. I could of course leave it like this and reinstall CC every time I log in, but this is gonna suck.

FYI I tried to extract .jar file into a folder, but when I turned on the computer, it just gave me a blank monitor screen with "unable to load lua/rom" error

Computercraft is supposed to stay as a jar file.
