It looks simliar to this
The computer on the left sends a message to the one on the right.
If i get the the distance i get 3.
If i move the left computer more to the left and get the distance again i get 3 too.
It only updates if i reboot the computer on the left
doesnt work with turtles eighter

Computers aren't used to be moved, that's why the position is only checked at every reboot, checking all few seconds might cause lag.
It's good to see you can move CC computers on frames, this allows you to make a flying platform you can control with a computer on it.

A command to check the position would help me with my elevator because i cant do much without a right distance
but like so i need to get the alternative one computer on every floor

The only other way I can think of right now is placing a monitor (one block is enough) on every floor and make it checking for any monitor peripherals and count them. This way you can also have floors with different distances between them.

You can use turtles but you can't attach computers to frames just make sure the turtles move themselves

How do you attatch computers to frames and have them move & not crash? Do you have to make them render?

You either go on a server, or you wait for the next version which has that "bug" fixed.
