[1.6.4][SSP]Minecraft crashes when I try to use the 'Excavate' command

I am using CC 1.63 with minecraft 1.6.4. My Forge installer says '1.6.4-9.11.0.883'

Whenever I use the excavate command, my Minecraft crashes. Radius does not make a difference.

You're on a pretty old version of Forge. Try updating to the recommended version for 1.6.4 and see if you can duplicate the problem on that version.
