Hello,
I've just started a small server using the Multi Craft manager.
All is working well.
Just wanted to ask as I've never had one before, what thing should I be doing to protect me world/server from persons with ill intent? Or any other things you think I should do or not do!
Once I get to grips with everthing I will post it on the forum.

Okay, first of all:
use secure passwords for the shell (if you have ssh acess) and multicraft.
If you can, switch to cauldron (it allows you to run Bukkit plugins on a forge server) because that way you can protect you buildings etc better.

Rule number 1: Don't give anyone but yourself SSH or panel access, or op. Not even your friends.
Rule number 2: Do NOT give ANYONE but yourself SSH or panel access, or op.
Rule number 3: Use secure passwords. Really secure passwords. Remember that you're paying for this service, so if someone else gets access to it they can abuse your server for free.

For anti grief you will likely want the coreprotect plugin. If you want to provide more commands such as /sethome or /tpa then you should get essentials. A more advanced region protection plugin is world guard (worldguard requires the worldedit plugin to be installed to function), but you could also use something like griefprevention which is made by the same people who made essentials. If you wish to determine which commands people can use you will need a permission manager plugin I suggest group manager seeing as it is one of the easier ones to use.
