Sports?

Hey everyone. Just a question, does anyone here play sports? (Gym/running/dancing or whatever counts too :P/>) I play volleyball myself and I love it, but as I imagine most ComputerCrafters spend quite some time in front of a PC (no offense - I do this too), I was just wondering if you guys did anything to stay fit :P/>

Never heard of Sports. Sounds like an interesting game, though. Is it on Steam?

I'm one of those lucky guys who stay lean no matter what. It works both ways, though - I can't bulk up in either terms of fat or muscle. I probably get most of my exercise by walking everywhere (… while in the meantime my car battery goes flat).
I've never been a sporty guy, but I did once play tennis during college. Got to the point where I'd watch the pros on TV and think to myself, "I would've returned that missed shot". Of course, we were playing in slow motion relative to them, but hey, a guy can dream.
My brother took up ninjitsu, but my attempts to join in have led to nothing but damaged shoulders. Work with free weights inevitably leads to injury when I hold one the wrong way after turning up the weight too far, which in turn leads to breaking the habit. I've recently taken out a gym membership, so maybe I'll be able to get into a sustainable routine now.

I was much like Bomb Bloke until I hit 30 (in human years)…then putting on weight stopped being a challenge and staying trim has been ever since. When I was younger, I studied Kodenkan Danzan Ryu Jiujitsu and Iaido. Lately, not so much. My level of activity has decreased as my age has increased. Although taking the human for walks isn't a sport, it's at least a bit of a stretch of the legs.

Sports? What server is that? Is it a mod? Does it require Forge?

Sports? Well I go to the gym like once a year, does it count? And it doesn't matter that much if I sit at the computer all day and eat pizza and miscellaneous junk food. I simply won't get fat :3

Nah. Used to fence when I was younger.
I've had some people suggest horse-riding for UX designers, incidentally. Apparently the act of attempting to control a much larger animal that moves in a way you don't fully understand while it in turn attempts to understand your commands is a good metaphor for interface design.

Huh. That actually makes a lot of sense. Constantly being forced to think about what the "other person" is thinking would be pretty good training, especially if you ride a different horse each time.

I don't do much sport on my own. I get forced by my PE teacher thought… last week our conditional training ended (the final test was running 12 min straight). Now I have to play football/soccer D:

Is that why you spent so much time away from ComputerCraft?I cycle a lot

I do a lot of weightlifting, olympic and not so much, five days a week. I'm thinking about competing in power lifting, but I'm not really that strong overall, just relative to my weight.

I'd like to think that most people have more than one singular reason not to treat MineCraft as a full time job/hobby/whatever. ;)/>

I run. Every day. From my responsibilities.

I play tennis in the spring.

I do a lot of running and the occasional mountain biking session, I have quite a fast metabolism therefore I don't gain weight very easily.

I'm sort like Bomb Bloke but younger… a lot younger. Seriously though I've had a fast metabolism all my life and I've had no reason to do sports. I've thought of playing tennis, golf, basketball, etc. But video games….
