Not sure where to put this as I'm playing on a direwolf20 1.6.4 server. When ever I place network cables down after awhile weather a server reset has happened or not the cables will disappear after awhile. I was wondering what is causeing this and if possible how to fix it.

Can't say I've heard of this happening before. It's not like they're suspectable to water, in the way torches etc are.
My first guess is that it's got something to do with what you're connecting them up to.

I have them connected to a monitor. I'm building spawn and got a computer and scanner underneath where you spawn it so it will bring up a message saying welcome to [name of server] [their name] and after about 10 min or so the network cables between the computer and monitor just vanish.
The modems and network cables connected to the computer and monitor are still there but everything in between is just gone.

Are all the cables in the same chunck?, if they are try placing other blocks, restart the server and check if the other blocks dissapears. If they do, thats a chunck error

Not sure if they are in the same chunk but there are other blocks and it's only the network cables that dissapear. Everything else stays.

Actually, I've had this happen to me in a protected area on a DW20 server. Every time the server restarted they where gone. Once, I logged on and saw them there, the server restarted and I was one of the first ones in, and they where ALL GONE. It couldn't be grief.
It wasn't just one time, it was EVERY time.

Turtles can pass through grief protection first of all.
It could be a problem with the grief protection plugin too.

Turtles can pass through some grief protections, but the particular server I was on disabled them from moving in grief protection zones
