I was looking around on people profiles and I noticed that the likes of dragon53535 and nitrogenfingers have got member titles like Lua Professor or Resident Necromancer. How do you get these?

They can be given by admins if you are a very well-known ComputerCrafter or have more than 1000 posts here on these forums (that many posts would mean that you would basically be a quite well-known ComputerCrafter). Of course these rules might have changed over time.

I was pretty sure they no longer did the 1000+ posts thing anymore, also they can be achieved through special events (like Resident Necromancer, you have to Necro the "Necromancy" topic)

They can't get custom titles at 1000+ posts? Well then those who were lucky to get them at that time has them. And you can ofcourse get the Resident Necromancer title if you post on the topic
here, note that you must follow the rules for it.
