I suggest a peripheral/block that allows a pocket computer to interface with peripherals via next block connections and wired networks.
The block would allow you to use the pocket computer while it is hooked up.
This would allow for thangs.

On a serious note, you can use a pocket computer's wireless modem and communicate with a normal computer over rednet, emulating the peripheral wrapper. There is an example of this idea here.
