I'm creating a OS called Axion. It is going to be a new platform (have a app store, programs, desktop, etc).
I need help with it! So, if you want to help me develop it, I have a Cloud9 Workspace all set up for it.
To help:
PM me or leave a reply below saying:
Friendly Name: {Like a nickname}
Level: (Are you good at Lua, like oeed or Lyqyd? They are awesome.)
What you can help with: (Every little bit counts!)

Plans/Ideas so far:
1.The Base: XSM

This stands for:

X System Manager

How it works:

1. It runs at startup and loads a config file located at: /etc/xsm.cfg

It contains: (/etc/xsm.cfg)

1. A path to the XSP file (splash screen executable)
2. A path to the DE (XDE in the case of Axion)
3. Any setting you may want to specify
4. Paths to load APIs / Libraries
5. Any other info needed at the time

2. An open source API/Library: XSP B)/> [WIP]

This stands for:

X SPlash Screen

How it works:

You add it to xsm.cfg and it loads a bunch of functions and apis into memory for later use.
It is like a splash screen API.

3. XDE (A modern CC Desktop Enviorment) [WIP]

Uust a cool desktop with a unity/Ubuntu feel

Features:

-Dock on the left (you can change witch side it's on)
-Top Notification Bar/Window Switcher
-Icon in the top left corner (on click, all apps show fullscreen like in Ubuntu)
-Clock on the top bar
-A boat load of Apps

4. My concept of Cloud Apps
Never have to ask anyone to add their program to your OS again, because your not redistributing it!
Every time you run a app, it will automatically update it or re download it. It also saves space with a lot of applications.

A special thank you to the CC Community:

I would just like to thank the CC community for all the inspiration, great feedback, a great mod and especially a great community!

-djfj74, Peace out!

No code to show, but since you're asking for some feedback/collaboration, I'll move this to General.

No thanks, I've got too much on my plate.

Generally, all things OS must stay in the OS section, and posts without code must be locked. I'll let this slide… for a day or two. At that point, I'll either merge the OP (and any relevant responses) into the Idea Exchange thread, or just move and lock it.

I've noticed a resurgence in OS posts straying outside the bounds of the section lately. Strange.

I do have some code you must, to access it you must have a Cloud9 Account. And then PM me with your username and I will give you access if you want to help.
Sorry for my bad grammar.

I can't tell if you're generally bewildered or being sarcastic about NDFJay's tutorial series reboot.

How do you delete a topic? I want to make a new topic for this, because I do have some code ready for public release.

The admins don't delete topics, but if you report it you can get it locked/moved.

Moved to the OS section, so code may be posted.
