Redstone and Wired Modems

I think it would be useful if when a wired modem is powered by redstone if it will attempt to connect the attached peripheral to the network. You could do some neat automatic system installation stuff with turtles then, and I'm sure there would be other neat uses for this.

You mean that it would have the ability to connect just like it were right clicked, but when it is given a redstone signal?

I'm not sure how this would work, considering the modems are not full blocks, and likely wouldn't be able to work in such a way if they work the way I think they do.

Beats me what the coding side of things would be like, but I imagine the utilisation would be quite similar to Buildcraft's iron pipes.

I very much like the idea.
