From one of the former owners of the most popular CC server, LuaLand, I bring you the new server, CommunityCraft (name likely to change). Many people have expressed their desire for the return of LuaLand, but although I am unable to bring back how exactly the old server was, I am able to recreate a server that is very similar.

Details of the server:
- Professionally hosted using www.exileservers.com
- 2 Gig of ram (will be increased if needed)
- plotme world
- survival world
- normal generated creative world
- numerous earnable ranks through playtime with increasing permissions

plotworld:
- 32x32 plots
- limited worldedit permissions
- Gain more plots through ranks

Rules:
1. No Griefing
2. No Spamming
3. No Scamming
4. No Hacking
5. Respect Everyone
6. No Stealing
7. No Racist or Sexist Remarks
8. Don't abuse commands/your power
9. Don't touch others Computers without permission
10. Use Common Sense

Staff:
I am going to wait a few days to determine the popularity of the server before I let anyone apply for staff.

This modpack has a focus on ComputerCraft, and as such has most of the popular ComputerCraft peripherals. It also has a number of other tech mods. Overall this modpack is very similar to the original LuaLand modpack.

Interesting considering 4+ people have already joined using the same pack. Try again later and see if it is working then. Btw, you have to click on that link and get the api link off of that page, you cant just copy and paste into the launcher from this page.

Happy to announce survival world is now up. Soon I will add a normally generated creative world in addition to the survival and plotworld.

Small preview of the hub and plotworld spawns. They are both still a WIP, but they are looking really nice so far.

Some problems :
-Pocket Computers are disconnecting the clients from the server.
-OpenComputers literally raped my PC when i right clicked a keyboard. Had to wait like 20 mins to quit Minecraft.

A known issue. It's possible you'll have better luck if you make sure your view doesn't have a block selected (eg, make sure nothing is in range of your pickaxe) when you activate the pocket computer.

Looks like my mod is breaking things. :(/> Pop into the CCTweaks config, find "Debug wand" under the "Computer" section and set it to true.

Give me 5 minutes and I will have it removed.

Pushed an update to the modpack to fix the missing item errors.

There are a few mods I am going to remove when I get everything set up such as opencomputers. I just need to contact my host to be able to remove them.

For the pocket computer crash, chances are I can write up a very short bukkit plugin to prevent the crash from occuring.

i can't join, says there is a mod rejection. i updated it again, but i'm still on modpack 2.0

I just updated the modpack, but it is taking a while to go through. Apparently technic stops showing updates when you update a modpack a lot of times in a very short period of time. Last time it did this it took 3 hours for the update to show. If you want to join now just delete the pack and install it again, hitting the reinstall button does not work.

My server has been restored, valithor's still works fine without mine, the thing is we had a huge 1.9GB world and I wanted the stuff back because we worked hard on it so please don't be offended, I just think I wanted the mods we have, if you are willing to keep the mods we have and join that would be awesome , if not don't worry :(/>

it says that there are two people on server, i have no idea how, but if someone could just help me? i have been waiting for probably an hour now for an update to come through, and not one did. i also checked the website for all updates, and it also says 2.0 is the latest.

For me it says the latest is 2.01. Try deleting the pack and re-installing

Just so you guys know… Danny has backed out of the server hub idea, so next time I am on I will switch back to the old world and mods. So instead of having 43 mods we will go back to 24.

You can not yet. I am going to revert the server to how it was before I joined the server group, and then I will push a update to technic. Then you will be able to join.

Also going to announce a new world that will open soon: Survival PlotMe World
This world will have a linked inventory with the regular survival world. The main purpose of this world will be for factories, companies, and cities.

edit:

After we tried to restart the server apparently did not shut down all the way, so we are getting a failed to bind port error, which is causing the server to not be able to start. If it does not fix itself within a few minutes I will contact the host and get them to fix it.

Thats the wrong pack. Check the post above yours.

If you have not restarted the technic launcher since you lasted updated then do so. The way the technic launcher works makes it to where new updates to packs will only show when you just start the launcher.

The current version of the pack is 3.0, and numerous people have already updated to it so i know it is working. This means one of a few things. You are using the one from the op from yesterday, which was the wrong pack. Or you have not restarted the launcher since i have updated it. If its neither of those… then technic is justt being stupid.

It is quite annoying, but the creator of optifine refuses to allow people to use it in modpacks, and with the wave of modpack links being removed due to people not having permission to have mods in the pack, I am unable to add it.

Mod pack links have been removed. Please remove any mods from the pack that are included in violation of their licenses, and provide proof of permission for those mods that require it.

You're correct, it is only client-side, however people just like to have it already installed just for ease really.

I forgot to mention this. All plots were messed up whenever I reverted back to the backups. If you find your plot is messed up send me (valithor2) a /mail in game with the coords of your plot, and I will fix it next time I am on.

As sandstorm said, and any time the technic modpack is updated the player would be required to install the optifine mod again. Most of the players on the server use technic, and technic removes any mods before it starts installing the new version of the pack. It just becomes a hassle to install them over and over, especially when a server such as this one is just starting out and there are multiple updates to the pack in a short period of time.

No idea what is causing the skins to mess up. If it continues I will look into a way of fixing it.

Whenever I get everything else setup I will start working on an economy and jobs.

Survival world, nether, and the end inventories should all be properly linked now.

I seem to remember there was something else I meant to fix, but can not remember it now. If there was something else send me a pm on the forums or a message on skype and I will fix it.

On another note I am accepting suggestions for the 4th world that will occupy the last spot in the world hub. The current suggestions:
- Survival plotme world for building factories, companies, and towns (linked inventory to survival world)
- Sky blocks world (would find a way to make it CC based)

If you have anything else you would like to see in the last world post your suggestion here, or if you would like to post support for one of the other two suggestions you can also post that here. Which ever one I like and you guys support the most will be the one that is added.

Forgot to mention a few things in this post.

Partially set up mywarp:
newbie: 1 public warp, 1 private warp
amateur: 2 public warps, 2 private warps
novice: 3 public warps, 3 private warps
(will extend this more when I get time)

The ranking system will be the exact same as the one on LuaLand, but the permissions are going to be slightly different (Don't want everyone running around with god on all the time, ruins the point of survival).

When I finish permissions I will create a full rank and permission list, but for now I am only going to post the ranks and times.

Per world permissions:
I wanted to be able to give certain permissions to certain worlds, which is the reason I did this. If you have joined the server you might have noticed that anytime you switch worlds you might be a lower rank than the one you were just on. This is just a side effect of the per world permissions. If you give it time your rank will return rather quickly to the rank you had in the previous world.

A few things this allows me to do:
Give worldedit/gamemode permissions to people in plotme and creative worlds, but not in the survival world.

I also added a little gift for getting around in the survival world. Next time you join try out the "/kit glide" command. It has a fun little way of getting around.

Have the same issue too. Also I mikkel809h was working on a server with skyblock all CC based, and since this has been created, he took it down. Maybe you could use the system he used for it.

Looks like the mod that adds graves is not working. I am going to turn it off and replace it with a plugin alternative. If you guys die you should be able to use /back to get to where you were if you can't then tell me and i will fix that permission.

Somehow, when using the modpack i often blink. The screen goes full blue (or black if it's night), then get back to the game. It's random.
On a normal 1.7.10, the game doesn't blinks.

I'll try to find which mod does that.
BTW, you could update some mods. IIRC, Force, OC, Nether Ores, iChun's mods have updates available for 1.7.10, you might check that.

BTW, you could update some mods. IIRC, Force, OC, Nether Ores, iChun's mods have updates available for 1.7.10, you might check that.

It should give you a crash report if it is kicking you off the server with that blue screen. If you have one please upload it, it would help a lot with figuring out what is going on.

I will work on the modpack when everything else is finished. Right now it works and that is all that really matters for now.

It doesn't crash. The game runs, but blinking occurs randomly without crashing the game.

So, after 2 hours of downloading and trying each mod, I've came to the conclusion that…
It's the Technic launcher messing with Minecraft.

Also, there's a lot of unused/outdated mods in the pack. But that's for later anyways.

I will start working on the modpack sometime next week and will start taking suggestions then. My host has (hopefully) made it possible to change mods without having to reset the world. If it does not work then we will have to have a world reset when I work on the mods.

Mod changes should not break the world. Unless you add new mods that require ore generation it would only be generated in new loaded chunks. Altough if you had a mod like Biomes O plenty, that change the entire generation of worlds then its indeed probably best to reset the world.

Unfortunately it's a technical limitation with cauldron. If for some reason ids change or if I were to remove a mod the server would freeze on startup saying that blocks had been removed. Cauldron made it to where you can't do the command to resume the startup process when this happens.

I have asked my host to add a configuration file allowing me to change a couple of specific java arguments to get around this limitation.

I have an issue.

I connected just fine yesterday, and now, every time I try to log into the server, I get an "Invalid login" error. Any ideas as to why?

A couple of things might be happening. The minecraft login servers might have been down, or you are not using a premium account.

A requirement of bungee cord is having to turn the server into offline mode, and after I disconnected from the bungee network I had forgotten to turn the server back to online mode until yesterday.

Typed all of this on my phone. Autocorrect may have messed up some of it.

A few of the plugins use names instead of UUID's for things. This means that I will have to manually go through with you and fix each individual thing to work with your new name.

Yes if someone were to change to your old name before we change everything they would have access, but when you change your name your old name is locked for 28 days. This prevents other players from taking your name before your timeout of only 21 days expires. So you would have a chance to change your name back 7 days before anyone else could take it.

LWC broke on me today. When I tried to remove a sign, it said LWC INTERNAL ERROR :PLAYER_INTERACT and LWC INTERNAL ERROR :BLOCK_BREAK. While looking upon a solution, I stumbled across an article saying that you probably have ran out of disk space.

Well, basically, upon further research, the server will die unless val comes on. Until then, go to your bases, put your inventories in chests and stay in your chunks. If you have lost your inventory, you were too late and you lost that part of data.

In conclusion, the server ran out of space and consequently, the server will die unless somebody does a miracle or valithor comes online.

Posted a ticket to the host. The server might move to a different machine at their hosting facility, which would cause the ip to change. I believe this problem should be fixed within a day or two.

For now the server is up. I deleted a old world, which should give enough memory to last a day or two until the problem is fixed.

Looks like we have to just wait on the host… Already out of space again.

Server is back up. Apparently someone else's server on the same machine had over 250 GB worth of dynamap data.

Appears a few things such as config files/play time are messed up from the server running out of memory, but the worlds appears to be fine.

i can't join, says there is a mod rejection. i updated it again, but i'm still on modpack 2.0

I just updated the modpack, but it is taking a while to go through. Apparently technic stops showing updates when you update a modpack a lot of times in a very short period of time. Last time it did this it took 3 hours for the update to show. If you want to join now just delete the pack and install it again, hitting the reinstall button does not work.

I'm very late, but I have this issue a lot. Push a version update 30 seconds afterwards, and the platform will update your pack immediately.

I think I've crashed the server by trying to jump at the spot where you have to jump to enter the plotworld :-/ (I think those are elevator blocks?)

EDIT:
Server got back online but crashed instantly after I tried to use the elevator blocks again

Looks to be a corrupted block I will have this fixed within the next 10-20 min.

I am also having trouble getting the survival plotworld to generate, so I am most likely going to set up a skyblocks world until I can get the survival plots to generate.

Computercraft id bug is now fixed. It was another byproduct of the server running out of space.

Got the survival plotworld to finally generate. Seeing as it is 3 am for me at the time of this post I will set it up later. At the same time I set it up I am going to replace the normally generated creative world with a skyblocks world seeing as it was not really being used.

So tomorrow I will be switching out the current playtime file with that one and will add the playtime of anyone who currently has over 2 hours of playtime to their new playtime.

Unfortunately this only has the playtime from the first couple of days the server was up. This is the best I can do regarding playtime.

I have noticed that demons/elementals from Blood Magic are crashing players, and is impossible to obtain a demon blood shard. Please don't remove Blood Magic; many people love it.

Add Thermal Expansion, Extra Utilities and Applied Energistics. It will make the game way more fun and add some electronic purposes to the game.

This is a result of the post before yours. Someone placed a skyblock, which apparently with this version of openblocks causes you crash anytime you look at it. Your crash report gave me the location of the block, so I will fix it shortly.

Err… I guess i accidently made the whole server unusable…

I placed a sky block and powered it…

Stupid me.

(Put this on the bannedItem List, please, this already happened once.)

I actually thought it was already on the banned item list… I will have to check why it was removed.

I have noticed that demons/elementals from Blood Magic are crashing players, and is impossible to obtain a demon blood shard. In addition, due to helping design the survival plot world, I have lost my inventory, as you later synced it to the survival. Can somebody try to fix this?

The world has slight corruption scattered throughout it. If you guys really want I am able to reset the world so we can start new without the corruption. Hopefully we will not run into anymore things like this.

I am going on vacation for a few weeks, so I am leaving zambonie, justy (LBP), and incinerate in charge of the server while i am gone. All three of them will have console access while I am gone, so if you need anything or there is any bugs contact one them to have it fixed.

Now are you using the correct mods valithor has supplied? Because I have a player that has tons of mod rejections as well on my server, make sure you have the correct version of Forge installed! Make sure all the mods are at the correct versions, and try again (Also make sure you are connecting to the correct server).

The server will go down in 2 days on August the 8th, so I will upload the entire server directory to dropbox for everyone to download.

There will be the following downloads meant for different groups of people:
worlds (in case you want to be able to play on the worlds again)
computers only
plugins, config, and cauldron (for anyone who wants to set up a server that is set up similarly without the work)

Was fun when it lasted, but I just can't get back into the game.
