Hi,

I love turtles and actually am planning to set up quite a lot of them in a large factory area a friend of mine and myself are building right now. However it is difficult to find a specific turtle by eye when there are a lot of them flying around. For example if you have several turtles flying on the same route.

A nice solution to this problem would be, if we could color code turtles by simply placing them and a dye in the crafting grid and the coloring could be visualized by small stripes on all of the turtles sides.

Nice idea. However if you really wanted to you could just send a signal to the turtle you need to find (via modem) which would make him place down a wool block or something like that…

That's one option but it would require the turtle to keep a wool block at all times and I'd have to stop the turtle every time I do that.

The coloring of turtles is a very nice idea. I think adding things to turtles to make them different is very important, like a colored ribons or something similar, like a flower. That way, player will feel attachment to their turtles XD. It would also help my project of making a turtle city.

I like the idea, but there are solutions. You could just have it place down a block or place them in the order of the ID's.
We should color a turtle GREEN!
It would be like a crocodile.
