Simple enough. What're you excited for?
(please no flamewars.)
Personally, FALLOUT 4 HYPE
Also, Microsoft's killing it with Holo Lens.

Fallout 4, Deus Ex, DooM, and Just Cause 3 were some of the big ones for me. The MS Minecraft Holo Lens demo was impressive, but admittedly also very unbalancing to gameplay (I haven't seen any other demos if there were any). It certainly opens up interesting possibilities for future games, though - very exciting :)/>

Well, they did say for Microsoft Holo Lens that it was a separate version of MineCraft. And not just games! Imagine, you're laying down in bed, and you want to watch some Netflix? Just stick on your Holo Lens and start Netflix ON YOUR CEILING!!! 3D design where you can zoom in and out IN REAL LIFE. VIRTUAL REALITY.
… i'm getting a bit too excited.
– EDIT – Just noticed, you think the Holo Lens is just Minecraft? No, no no no. Minecraft was ONE example. They have a website with tons of information
here.

Haven't watched anything E3-specific, and I'm not sure I care much about Hololens + MineCraft, but I must admit Hololens in general is a very enticing bit of tech. It's basically a better-funded version of the VR gear people cobbled together out of Wiimotes and Kinects, which itself was an attempt to bring to life the idea of VR that people've been dreaming of, since, I dunno, probably well before my time.
Just ten years ago, we didn't have the processor power to make it practical. These days, I can hook up a 3D camera to my computer and scan in real-time. In another ten years, VR headsets for every day use will likely be pretty mainstream. Maybe in twenty, ocular implants will start to emerge.
We're all incredibly privileged.

The thing about virtual reality is that it's meant to replace a physical reality. Microsoft wanted to remove this idea with Holo Lens, so that we can view our reality, but modified. Imagine you're playing a multiplayer game with VR helmets. Your body is still just sitting there, at a computer, doing nothing. With Holo Lens, and furthered technology (or making really cool yet bulky helmets?), we could do amazing things, like having a battle ground and you personally can see what damage you hit an enemy with, have a HUD, or many other things.
Want. WANT. WANT.

Indeed! It's all very Ghost in the Shell, isn't it.
Truth be told, conventional VR tech has more or less passed me by; none of it struck me as worth laying down money for. I should really give Google Cardboard a try.

Atleast Google Cardboard is not super expensive.
And you have to think about it this way. Hololens has no real concurents, which means Microsoft can put any price tag on it.

They wouldn't be so silly as to price it too high. Apple, for example, practically bases their business around watching other companies innovate, learning from their mistakes (or just buying them out), then pitching a polished version of their own as "new". If Microsoft's offering turns out to be popular, they won't waste
any time in announcing their own version, which people will be happy to wait for if MS's price is too high. And I'm sure Google would attempt to kick some life into their Glass project, too.
And again, bear in mind that Hololens has
already been done, by the hobbyist hackers out there!
Let's go back a few years...

New Mirror's Edge game? ++. Didn't really look into much of what EA had.

It looks really cool, but you should wait to see if it won't be another failure like Kinect.

In theory this could easily work. Microsoft is attempting to move Windows to use an API that is spread out throughout all platforms. Creating applications is now easier than ever, especially with the new XAML framework and C# implementations of code for the Windows 8.1 operating system. If we can implement things like this in Windows 10, and perhaps create a Metro app (because that's what the C# code is) to run a ComputerCraft machine emulator, this could easily be possible. Development can be done on a computer and tested on a computer, and in theory only minor graphical porting should be required to run it on Holo Lens, and even Windows Phone devices.
tl;dr: make it run on a Windows 10 computer and it'll be runnable on Holo Lens

the ms hololens isn't for gaming…i mean, you could if you wanted to, but mainly for architects, designers, ect.
but if you want, it is a neat toy to play around with

In my opinion it is rather for making money (M$). Else it could be used for gaming but that would be hard since it would have to be specially conceived for holohlens. This will not happen soon because the amount of Hololenses is waaaay too little for any profit to be made.

If you read the post you would see that I mentioned at least once that it should be able to run Windows 10 (probably Metro or whatever that is) applications.

Finally, someone gets it. My parents think I'm crazy.
I also want a shell terminal up on my shelf. Preferably with the ability to hook up a Bluetooth keyboard to the VR helmet but I can use a holographic if needed, I guess. Nothing like being spammed with emails and being able to go fix the problem without even getting out of bed.
