Is a play by post RPG allowed on this forum?

Forum rules would be enforced in the game, with the thread likely living in the "forum games" sub-forum. I want to swing this by the moderators before trying to set it up.

I don't have a full game in mind yet but I wouldn't mind GMing one, I'm aware that this may not be the best community for this type of game but this is the place that I feel closest to.

play by post RPG on wikipedia

If you are reading this and have not seen my "are you interested?" post in general then here

On other forums there is a sub-forum for the RPG as it can become multiple threads.
  1. The actual RPG
  2. An Out Of Character (OOC) discussion
  3. A thread for players to detail there characters (this may be multiple threads but to avoid taking over the forum I don't mind having to have an index as an OP)
I'll stick a "register of interest" post up in general to see if people want to play, we can go from there.

Let's stick with a single thread format. Players can demarcate out of game chat (maybe [OOG: … ]), and player backstory posts should be posted as the player's first post in the thread, and could be linked to from the first post if desired.

I'll try to make the single thread work, may have to store the player back stories on google drive or similar.

Thanks for not shooting this down.

I'm certainly interested in it. Sounds a lot like a slower version of D&D, and I've always wanted to try that.

I have a poll over here for getting a head count, I'll also be posting the initial joining information there before setting up the actual game thread.
