On CommunityCraft we have played a few games of Turtle Wars, the objective is to simply dig/mine the other persons turtle. However every game the rules have been quite loose, so I was considering setting up a tournament but we need to clear up a lot of things such as the rules, arena size, etc, etc.
If you have any thoughts or ideas be sure to list them below!

I think that event if you did put the effort in and try to make something amazing, you'd be no better off than a turtle that sits there repeatedly digging. There's no way of actually knowing where another turtle is and tracking them/moving towards them (I mean sure you can get a rough idea but with both you and potentially them moving it gets very messy and unreliable), and by moving around you risk being eaten up by stealthy ones just sitting there.
A bit offtopic: can turtles eat eachother or does one do it first?

What rules are there thus far? Surely there're some set in stone.
How many turtles per "side"?
Are certain peripherals allowed/banned?
Do the turtles have to report their positions to each other or something?
