the computers in CC are small and cant really do much
and beowulf clusters of them dont work…

so i had an idea where you could make a customizable multiblock computer
for example you could place down a storage unit block that would increase the space on the multiblock
you could place processor blocks on the multiblock that would increase speed
you could place memory blocks on the multiblock to give it more memory
you could place redstone ports on the multiblock to allow it to interact with redstone
and to access it instead of right clicking on the computer like you would do with a normal CC computer you can have multiple terminal blocks that have seperate shells and several people can access the multiblock at the same time
good idea???

Have you tried OpenComputers?

ComputerCraft is designed to be cheap, so you can focus on the programming aspect.

Like Lyqyd suggested, you'll want to look into the mod OpenComputers, its computers require power, and components like motherboards, ram, HDDs, etc.
