NOTE. This server is dead. I am working on a new server: I want to make it with a kind of roleplay, but allowing freebuild. I want to get everyone welcome.

ComputerZone

Why ComputerZone?

ComputerZone is a server where staff cant give anyone money.

It's prevented from turtle griefing, turtles can't dig/place here.

Also, it has companies, enterprises, organisations or

whatever you want to call them. So you can share your company

and release free or paid software. Tell me if you want to include

a program in the ROM.

Rules
  • You can't acces someone's computer without perm.
  • You can't take a floppy/computer without perm.
  • You can't try to supplaint another player.
  • You can sign a contract (Written Book) with another player to allow them to distribute programs. You can add condition.
  • You can make web servers, but must follow some conditions (rdnt://computerzone.info/)
  • You can't make rednet or modem sniffers. Let people have privacy!

Looks like a lovely server from the way you've written the description, could you possibly include some technical information? (Vanilla, Cauldron, BukkitForge?)

The server is hosted by BisectHosting with a Bugdet plan.

It works with Cauldron.

Okay, but what about the IP?

Interesting.. but how would you know, if someone uses a modem/rednet sniffer ? Just asking, cuz I'm curious…

You have a point. There is no way. And why forbid it? If someone wants privacy, let the learn asymmetrical encryption or use Tox.

well when talking about modem sniffers, its easy to tell. either by noticing the immense lag whenever it is on. or by seeing the giant computercluster(probably at world height)

One PC is enough. It can only monitor 1/512 of the brandwidth but that is a lot.

I'm pretty sure that that last rule is going to be A: completely disregarded and B: accidentally broken.

And rule three: you can't have companies if players aren't allowed to have competing software. Nothing is going to work if someone can make a product and then nobody can make alternatives!

Also the server is down for some reason?

Have to agree with that. Its not enforceable if someone makes active scanner instead of passive monstrosity.

I think you are mistaking what word supplaint means.

Well, my device dictionary hasn't got supplaint in it. I'm pretty sure it was a misspelling, so I went with "supplant".

Suppliant means "Person asking for stuff". But if it's misspelling from "supplant" then yes it would be weird rule.
