if you on a new tab aka run fs and then you run the shutdown command in it it wil break the computer

Run fs? How can you run fs?
How does it break your computer? What happened exactly?

I think he was trying to type fg, though I myself can't seem to "break" a computer by ordering a shutdown via a new tab. The computer turns off, as normal, and restarts when you access its GUI again - as normal.

This is my interpretation too. I think he expects calling "shutdown" from a tab to just close that tab, rather than the computer, but that's what "exit" is for. The current behaviour is intended.
